To clear the maintenance reminder or oil life in your 2016 Jeep Renegade, first make sure you are on a level surface and the doors are shut. Put the vehicle in park and turn the key to the "on" position without starting the engine. Slowly press the gas pedal of the Renegade three times within ten seconds. When you do this, the dash lights will turn off, including the maintenance reminder. Next, turn the key to the "off" position. Finally, start the engine to finish the reset process. You should now see "Oil Change Reset" instead of "Oil Change Required" on the display. If the reset doesn't work, try repeating the steps two more times before seeking help from a mechanic.
