To reset the oil light on a 2017 Nissan Altima, first park the car in a safe spot. Then, turn the vehicle to the on position without starting it. If it has a smart key button, press it twice without pressing the brake pedal. Locate the button on the left side of the steering wheel that resembles two sheets of paper stacked on top of each other and press it until you reach the settings menu. Use the joystick to scroll down to the maintenance menu and press the enter button to select it. Scroll down to the service menu and press enter. You can now reset the oil life indicator.
To clear the oil level warning or maintenance light in your 2017 Nissan Altima, simply follow these steps: Turn the ignition key to the "on" position, gently press the gas pedal three times, then start your car. The oil light should then show that it has been reset.
