To reset the oil light on your 2019 Chevy Equinox, check out this video: https://www.Youtube.com/watch?v=r1579C3Doyo It's important to change your oil regularly, typically every 5,000 to 10,000 miles. Failing to do so can lead to engine issues. Using high-quality oil is crucial for optimal engine performance. Neglecting oil changes can result in problems such as a strong burning smell, which should be addressed promptly to prevent potential car damage. Old or low-quality oil can cause the engine to fail, leading to symptoms like engine knocking and decreased fuel efficiency.
After the car is turned on completely, use the left or right arrow keys to locate the oil life percentage display. Once you're on that screen, press and hold the center check button until the oil life resets to 100%.
Start the car without turning on the engine. Step on the gas pedal three times quickly within five seconds. This will make the oil light blink and reset.
