After successfully refilling the oil in your 2008 Ford Fusion, it's time to reset the oil indicator. Begin by sitting in the driver's seat of your vehicle. If you are viewing this on your desktop, please finish reading the instructions before proceeding. Next, turn the key in the ignition to the ON position, but do not start the engine. If your Fusion has a push-button ignition, simply press the button without pressing the brake. For key ignitions, press both the gas and brake pedals simultaneously for about 20 seconds. If you have a push-button model, press and hold both the button and gas pedal simultaneously. After 20 seconds, a message should appear on the display saying "Resetting Oil." Continue pressing the appropriate pedals until the reset is complete.
