After replacing the battery in your Honda CR-V, you can reset it with these simple steps: Start by turning on the radio with the power button, then let it stay on for a minute. Next, turn off the radio using the power button, but keep holding it down for around 30 seconds to a minute. Turn the radio back on and wait without pressing any buttons for a few minutes as it resets. It may take a bit of time for the radio to reset completely. After about 5 minutes, you can use the radio as you normally would.

You can get the code from this website: https://radio-navicode.honda.com/. Alternatively, for newer models, check inside the glove box for a sticker with the 5-digit code.

I've attempted multiple times to reset the radio in our 2006 CRV. Following the instructions, I got the device's serial number and retrieved the code from the website. My concern is where and how do I input this code to reset the radio? I even tried switching off the device and holding the power button for a minute, but that didn't work either. After all my tinkering, I now see an "error 7" on the display, haha.

Press and hold both the number 1 and number 6 buttons simultaneously. While keeping these two buttons pressed, also press the power button until an 8-digit code appears. Enter this code to make your radio function. The 5-digit code in my glove box did not work, so I found this solution on YouTube. However, my issue now is that the radio won't stay on.

To obtain the radio serial number for your CRV2008, press and hold the 1 and 6 buttons while turning on the radio. The serial number will display on the screen. Provide this number to your Honda dealer, and they will give you the code needed.

I drive a 2015 Honda CRV LX. To start it, turn the key to the Accessory (second) position to turn on the dash lights. If the radio prompts for a code, press the power button to turn it off. Release the button for a moment, then hold it down for 2 or 3 seconds until the radio turns on.
