Resetting the security system in a 2003 Chevy Tahoe is pretty straightforward. To begin, insert the key into the ignition and switch it to the on position without starting the engine. The dashboard lights will come on, and the security light will start flashing. This will continue for approximately 10 minutes, so you can step away from the vehicle and let it remain in the on position. After the 10 minutes pass, the security light will stop flashing, briefly stay solid, and then turn off. Once the light goes off, switch the key back to the off position. Now, attempt to start the vehicle; if the security light has turned off, it should start without any issues.

To reconfigure the security system on your 2003 Chevy Tahoe, first press and hold the panic button on the key fob for five seconds. Then, press the lock button twice from a distance of 10 feet from the vehicle. Next, press the unlock button twice. This should reset your anti-theft system.

What should I do if I don't have the key fob's panic button, I've misplaced the key remote device, and I've been fine without it for the past two years? Now, when I try to start the car, it won't start, and the doors keep locking and unlocking. Should I investigate the relays?
