Resetting the security or anti-theft system in your 2006 Nissan Maxima is a simple task that doesn't require much time, roughly 10 to 15 minutes. To get started, head to the driver's side of your car and enter. Insert your key into the ignition and turn it to the RUN position. Keep it there for at least 10 minutes before switching the ignition off, and then wait for 4 to 10 seconds before starting the engine. Your security system should be reset now.

In order to reset the security system on a 2006 Nissan Maxima, put the key in the "on" position for 10 minutes, turn it off, wait five seconds, and then start the car.

It seems like the reset might have worked, but I'm uncertain because the car is still not starting. The engine turns over smoothly, but it just won't start.
