If the sliding door on your Honda Odyssey is not functioning properly, the initial step is to attempt to reset the door. Resetting the door is a simple task that should only take about a minute of your time. First, you should turn on the ignition and move the power door sliding switch to the off position, and then back to the on position. The switch can be located on the left side of the steering wheel with the label MAIN. Afterwards, press and hold both power door sliding buttons until both doors close. Finally, turn the MAIN switch off and on again to complete the reset process for the doors.

To reset the power sliding door on a 2016 Honda Odyssey, press and hold both door buttons until they close all the way. If that doesn't work, switch the main setting to off and shut the doors by hand. Turn the switch back on to reset the sliding door.

Hello everyone, I encountered a similar issue when my van's engine malfunctioned. I promptly turned off the van, but the sliding doors were still open. I manually closed them after disconnecting the battery. However, upon restarting the van, the doors refused to open. I attempted the reset method mentioned earlier, but unfortunately, it didn't resolve the problem. Any suggestions on what I should do next?

It seems nobody has addressed the issue of the closed shut problem. It is concerning when the doors cannot be opened manually in this situation.
