If your Chevy Cruze has an alert on the dashboard indicating an attempted theft, you'll need to reset the car's security system. This is easily accomplished with Chevrolet vehicles. Simply press the unlock button on your key fob, leave the door open, then press the lock button on the key fob with the door open before closing it. Once done, you should be able to use the unlock button to access the car again and start it up as usual.

It tries to work, but the safety button is broken. It stopped beeping, but now I have to go everywhere with the attempted theft warning. It is a 2013 Chevy Cruze.

I attempted to reset the anti-theft system on a 2012 Chevy Cruze following the method you recommended, but it didn't work. Do you have any other advice or suggestions I could try?
