In a 2007 Nissan Altima, the tire pressure monitor system uses sensors on each valve stem to check and report tire pressure. If a tire's pressure drops too low, a warning light will appear on the dashboard. To reset the sensor, you should first inflate the tire to the correct psi. Next, drive the car for 10 minutes at 50mph to allow the sensor to reset itself. If that doesn't solve the issue, you can try turning the vehicle's ignition on without starting the engine. Locate the tpms reset button and hold it until the warning light blinks. Release the button and start the engine, letting the vehicle run for 20 minutes to recalibrate the system.
