The 2012 Jeep Liberty comes with sensors in the wheels to keep track of tire pressure. If you need to reset the TPMS warning light, first make sure the vehicle is parked on a flat surface and use a pressure gauge to check that the tires are at around 33 PSI. Next, lock the doors, roll up the windows, and turn the key in the ignition to the "on" position (without starting the vehicle). Locate the TPMS reset button below the steering wheel and press it until it blinks three times. After that, turn the ignition off, remove the key, start the engine, and let it run for 20 minutes so the system can record the new tire pressures. Alternatively, you can also reset the TPMS by driving at 50 mph for 10 minutes or by disconnecting and reconnecting the battery cables.
In 2012 Liberty, there is no option to start over with a reset button.
Freedom cannot simply be undone or erased like pushing a reset button on a device. It is not something that can be easily restarted or turned off by clicking a button on a dashboard or steering wheel.

Then press the TPMS button - typically found under the dashboard - until the TPMS light blinks multiple times. Next, start your vehicle and allow it to run for at least 20 minutes. Your TPMS system will be reset and ready to go.
