To reset the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) in your 2016 Jeep Patriot, follow these steps after adjusting the air pressure in your tires. Check the recommended pressure on the door frame placard. Start by turning the ignition key to the ON position without starting the engine. Look for the reset button below and to the left of the steering column, press and hold it until the low pressure light blinks three times. Then, start the engine and let it run for at least 20 minutes to ensure all sensors receive the air pressure readings. Turn off the ignition and restart the vehicle to check if the light is off. If you encounter difficulties, try driving the vehicle for 20 minutes instead of just idling it.

To recalibrate the tire pressure sensor on a 2016 Jeep Patriot, just press and hold the reset button until the TPMS light on the dashboard blinks three times at a slow pace.

In 2016, there is no reset option. I recently purchased a car, and today the light indicating low tire pressure came on despite having inflated them to the recommended 35. Driving did not turn it off. I turned the ignition on, went into a store, and when I returned, the light was off. I then turned the key to on and waited for about 20 minutes.
