To properly reset the tire pressure on a 2017 Ford Escape, refer to this instructional video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m4g-cYqpkpk Maintaining optimal tire condition is crucial for safe driving and avoiding accidents. It is inevitable that you will encounter issues with this component at some point. Premature tire wear is a potential problem, leading to feathering and cupping issues. Regularly check your tire pressure at least once a month, and inspect for any signs of damage, such as holes from nails. Over time, the part may loosen and will eventually need replacement. It is recommended to change your tires every 30,000 to 50,000 miles to prevent accidents on the road.
It's not functioning. The 2017 Escape is keyless and features push-button ignition instead.
In 2017, the push-button start feature was introduced but unfortunately, it is currently not functioning properly.
Before starting the car, make sure to turn the key to the on position. Press and hold the tpms reset button until the light blinks three times. Release the button, start the car, and let it run for 20 minutes to reset the sensor.
To properly reset the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) on the 2017 Escape, follow these simple steps: First, ensure all tires are inflated to the recommended pressure. Next, turn the ignition off, press and release the brake pedal, and then cycle the ignition from off to run three times. After this, press the brake pedal again, turn the ignition off, and cycle it from off to run three more times. When you hear the horn sound and see the tail lights blink once, you'll know the training mode is activated. Using a TPMS scan tool, scan each sensor starting with the LF tire, then the RF, RR, LR, and spare if there is one, listening for the horn to confirm recognition of each sensor. Once the LR tire is trained, the message center will indicate "Training mode complete." If there is no message center, you can verify completion by turning the ignition off - no horn should be heard. If the horn sounds, repeat the training process. Finally, turn the ignition off to complete the process. Easy peasy! Haha
I drive a 2017 Ford Escape and there isn't a reset button. What should I do now?
