Start by ensuring that the 2017 Honda HR-V is parked on a flat surface. Verify the tire pressure in each tire, ensuring that they match the recommended psi. The psi value can typically be found on the side of the tire. Afterward, enter the vehicle and power it on without starting the engine. Locate the tpms button to the right of the steering wheel and press and hold it until it starts blinking. Let the car sit for around 20 minutes for the recalibration process. Once the blinking stops, turn off the car and then back on to confirm the reset was successful.
To recalibrate the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) on the 2017 Honda HR-V, first ensure that the tire pressure is accurate, start the car, and then press the reset button located on the right side of the steering wheel. Allow ten minutes for the reset process. If needed, hold the button until the light flashes. If the sensor malfunctions, it could be due to incorrect tire pressure, which can affect the car's performance negatively.
Perhaps your TPS sensor has decided to call it quits.
