This system communicates data via an RF signal approximately every minute. If a sensor detects low tire pressure, a warning light will be displayed on the dashboard. To reset the light, simply inflate the tire to the correct pressure and drive for 10-15 minutes at a speed of 15 mph or faster. During this time, the sensor will recheck the pressure and deactivate the warning light. These sensors depend on battery power and may need to be replaced every 5-6 years.
