To reset the tire pressure sensor on a 2016 Ram 1500, refer to this video: https://www.Youtube.com/watch?v=nxPV720eg7s. The part responsible for this task will need replacing eventually. It's recommended to replace your tires every 30,000 to 50,000 miles to avoid accidents on the road. Maintaining your tires in good condition is crucial to prevent accidents. Issues with this part may arise at some point; check for punctures if you hit something sharp. The component could become loose over time, leading to premature tire wear, feathering, or cupping. Regularly inspect tire pressure at least once a month.

To recalibrate the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) on a 2016 Ram 1500, first ensure that the tire pressure is accurate. Next, start the vehicle and press the reset button located to the right of the steering wheel. Wait for ten minutes. In certain instances, you may need to press and hold the button until the light flashes. Incorrect tire pressure can lead to TPMS sensor malfunctions, resulting in decreased vehicle performance.

I own a 2016 Ram 1500 eco diesel. I purchased a set of wheels from a 2018 Ram Laramie, but my truck couldn't read the tpms from the new wheels. Despite running the truck for 2 years, I couldn't solve this issue. I previously bought the OBDMX+ and the ALFA OBD for other problems with my truck. After exploring the Alfaobd, I managed to find a solution and successfully programmed the tire sensors to my truck. Here's how I did it: 1. Connect the OBDMX to the ALFAOBD. 2. Enter Ram 1500 (in my case). 3. Select Radio Frequency Hub. 4. Choose Radio Frequency Hub, specifically my 2013+ PowerNet (in my case). 5. Connect. 6. Locate and select Check Engine (logo at the bottom of the app). 7. Read all faults. 8. Clear all faults. Following these steps, my truck can now read all four tire sensors. Hopefully, this information can assist you as well.
