To reset the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) on a 2017 Dodge Charger, first ensure the tire pressure is correct and start the vehicle. Then, press the reset button located to the right of the steering wheel and wait for ten minutes. In some instances, it may be necessary to continue holding the button until the light flashes. If the tire pressure falls below 25% of the recommended level, the warning lights will come on. Tire pressure tends to drop in colder weather despite being properly inflated because the air condenses in the cold and expands in the heat. As a result, the low tire pressure warning may activate, but will disappear once the tires warm up. It is advisable to check tire air pressure monthly using the same tire gauge.

To recalibrate the TPMS of the 2017 Dodge Charger, start by ensuring that the tire pressure is accurate before turning on the car. Press the reset button located on the right side of the steering wheel and patiently wait for ten minutes. In certain situations, you might have to press and hold the button until the indicator light flashes. If the sensor malfunctions, it could be due to improper tire pressure, which can lead to poor car performance.
