Once you've switched the tires on the 2018 Ram 2500, you'll have to reconfigure the tire pressure monitoring system to ensure the sensors are rightly positioned. Fortunately, this typically happens automatically with no need for manual intervention - the vehicle handles it by itself. However, be prepared for this procedure to take a minimum of 50 miles; the tire pressure monitoring signals may occasionally take longer to sync up. If your 2500 has dual rear tires, the rear inner tires must remain at the back of the truck as the TPMS sensors work at a different frequency. If you move them to the front, you'll have to replace the sensors or contend with inaccurate readings. Unfortunately, there is no way to recalibrate them for the front of the vehicle.
