To reset the anti-theft system on the 2013 Chevy Malibu, make sure you have the key with you. You can't just turn it off, but you can reset it. Put the key in the on position and start the engine. It won't start, but it will turn over. Keep the key in for 10 minutes when the alarm light blinks. Remove the key, turn off the ignition, and wait an additional 2 minutes. Now try starting the car. If it works normally, the alarm has been reset. If not, you may not have waited long enough.

One of the dumbest technologies ever put in cars is when your own car won't start and drive. I will never purchase anything made by Chevy again.
