Setting it up is straightforward and only requires a few steps. Start by turning on the vehicle and grabbing the remote for the device you wish to program. Hold the remote about 1 to 3 inches away from the homelink button in the car. Then, press and hold the button you want to program while simultaneously holding down the button on the remote. Keep both buttons held until the car's light blinks slowly. After that, press and hold the button for 5 seconds to open or close the garage.
