If you need to program a new key for your Chevy Malibu, it's actually quite simple to do. First, make sure you have both your key and the corresponding fob. Begin by sitting in your Malibu and closing all the doors. Insert the key into the ignition and turn it on and off without starting the engine, then remove the key. Hold down the unlock button on the driver's side door while you insert and remove the key from the ignition cylinder three times. Release the unlock button, then press and hold both the lock and unlock buttons on your key fob until the car beeps twice.

Yeah, there's more to it than just that. In fact, it involves a total of four steps from turning off to turning on the vehicle, then releasing the unlock button on the driver's door. After that, you have to hack into a space station and accelerate it to ludicrous speed until your Malibu starts floating into space. Step 2: To replace a headlight bulb, it feels like you need a miracle from God, so it might not be as simple as it seems.
