If you've got a Chevrolet Colorado, you might need to program your new key fob. It's a quick and easy process that should only take about 3 to 4 minutes. Start by sitting in the driver's seat with all the doors closed. Press and hold the unlock button on the power lock panel. After you release the button, you'll hear the doors lock and unlock once, signaling that you're in programming mode. Press and hold both the unlock and lock buttons together for about 30 to 40 seconds until the doors lock and unlock again. Lastly, turn the ignition to the on position and then back off to complete the programming.

To set up your key fob for your Chevy Colorado, first sit in the driver's seat and make sure all the doors are closed.
