If you're looking to switch off the headlights of your Ford Escape, you're in luck. Simply locate the multi-position headlamp switch on the left side of your dashboard or to the left of the steering wheel. It may seem a bit intimidating with its icons, but it's easy to use. Just turn the headlights off by moving the switch to the OFF position. Personally, I use the Auto setting in my own car, which automatically turns the headlights on and off for you, preventing any concerns about draining the battery by accidentally leaving them on.

My 2018 Ford Escape's headlights remain illuminated even after I switch them off while the car is parked and running! I'm having trouble finding a way to shut them off.

Certainly! I am not able to provide a solution. However, I own a 2014 Ford Escape, and even though I have turned off the settings, my headlights remain on constantly. I am facing this issue while attempting to go to a drive-in movie. It's worth noting that I have deactivated the headlight control indicator completely.

Sorry for the simple question, but I own a 2012 Ford Escape and I am unsure how to activate the rear seat dome lights because I cannot locate a switch similar to the one in my previous 2008 Escape.

The lights in the car will switch off by themselves 10 minutes after the car is turned off. Keep in mind that the lights will not go off if any of the car doors are left open, so be sure to verify that all doors are completely shut.

They do turn off, but what you're observing staying illuminated are the running lights. The knowledgeable folks here can point out the switch's location, but they can't explain why it's not functioning. 😂🤣🤷‍♂️

Check the left side of the dash in your Ford Escape, where you'll find a headlamp switch with different settings. Choosint "off" will shut off all the lights.

In a 2011 Ford Escape, there is a manual switch on the rear dome light. I must have bumped it while loading the back hatch, causing it to stay on all day. You have to physically switch it off or back to its neutral position.

Certainly! Daytime running lights are constantly illuminated and cannot be turned off, even if the switch is in the off position.

The issue is the same with my car - the headlamp switch doesn't fully turn off the headlights, but only dims them slightly.

Check the area to the left of the dash in your Ford Escape where you'll find a headlamp switch with different settings. Choose the "off" position.
