Taking off the door panel on a Ford Escape is a simple task. You'll want to have a Phillips head screwdriver, flathead screwdriver, and Torx T-30 star bit screwdriver on hand. Start by removing the screws along the upper, lower outer, and inner edges. Gently pry off the door pull trim and unscrew the door pull. Keep all the screws safe. Remove the door handle trim and then the panel piece. Use the T30 screwdriver for the screws close to the handle. Next, detach the sail panel. You might have to use the flathead screwdriver to help ease it off the door frame, remember to cover the screwdriver head with a cloth to prevent any scratches. Finally, pull the panel off from all edges and lift it off the frame.
