How can I take off the liftgate panel of a 2015 Ford Explorer?

Surprisingly, all you need to remove the liftgate panel on the 2015 Ford Explorer is a Phillips head screwdriver. Start by opening the liftgate and keeping it open. Below the panel, you'll notice four screws. Remove them and then pull down the panel on both sides to release the bottom. Although it may not completely come out at this point, simply open the rear window and snap the panel off from the top by pushing on it. It's that easy and should then come off entirely. When installing a new panel, snap it on by beginning at the top with the window open, push to secure it in place. Repeat this at the bottom, insert and tighten the screws, and you're good to go.

INCORRECT!! There are two panels; one upper and one lower secured with retaining clips. Additionally, the liftgate handle on the lower right side of the lower panel is fastened with two 5/12 bolts. A slim plastic cover is present over the bolts for access.
