To lower the spare tire from your Ford F-150, use the tire changing tools provided. Attach the long hook to one of the extenders and slide an iron to form a "T". This tool helps you lower the spare tire located beneath the truck at the rear and center. Locate a small hole in the upper right corner of the rear license plate frame to access the wench for some vehicles, which may be locked. Use the driver's key to unlock it if necessary. Insert the hook into the hole, connect it to the wench, and turn counter clockwise to lower the tire. Once the spare is out, use the iron T to rewind the cable and secure it in place.

Just pop open the hood of the F-150 and grab the tire tool, which you'll find above the radiator. Stick the sharp end of the tire tool into the slot near the rear license plate on the rear bumper, and make sure it links up with the spare tire winch.
