To take out the middle storage compartment in a Ford Ranger, you'll need a screwdriver and a wrench. Begin by opening the cover of the console. At the base, there are two screws. Unscrew them and keep them safe. Next, locate a set of bolts on the exterior of the console and remove them too. Lift the console, but be careful not to pull too hard. You must disconnect the wires at the bottom properly to avoid damaging them. Once the wires are detached, you can lift and remove the console from the vehicle by pulling it straight up and out.
