To take out the glove compartment in a Chevy Malibu, first open the door on the glovebox. There are two tabs at the back that need to be released by pushing and twisting while almost closing the door. This makes it tricky because you'll have to maneuver the tabs to pull them into the box. Once done, the door can be lowered for you to remove the arm and pins. If the glove box is stuck, you can free it by tapping the latch gently while pulling on the door cautiously. The key is to be patient and use gentle force, not brute strength. Alternate between tapping the latch and pulling the door until it opens.
