To deactivate the auto door locks on a Chevy Silverado, start by unlocking all the doors and ensuring the engine is off. Then, gently pull back the turn signal lever and keep it held in that position. With the lever still held, turn the ignition to either the "on" or "run" setting before turning it off. Repeat these actions twice while continuing to hold the lever. Once this is done, release the lever with the key in the "off" position. The Silverado's doors should now lock and unlock, indicating that the auto feature has been reset. To reprogram, make sure to act quickly within 30 seconds. Press the power door lock button on the panel twice, and the automatic locking function will be turned off.
