The simplest way to turn off the door chime in the Ford Ranger PX2 involves disconnecting the chime by unsoldering the connection and taking it off the circuit board. Begin by taking out the radio and the HVAC duct above it. Inside the opening, locate a black box with an electrical connector in the front and back. Remove the box by unscrewing the Phillips head screw at the bottom and sliding it down to release it. Open the back of the module to find the buzzer. Apply heat to the solder points with a soldering gun until the lead melts, then take out the buzzer.
