To deactivate the door ajar alarm in a Ford Escape, you need to first remove the door panel on the affected door by unscrewing two to four Phillips head screws and then carefully prying out the panel from the bottom until the clips are released. Remove the panel completely by working your way around and releasing all the clips. Locate the door latch wiring harness, peel back the tape, and find the Black/White and Pink/Blue wires. Connect and splice them together. By doing this, you can trick the computer into thinking the door is always closed and disable the alarm. Keep in mind that this modification will also prevent the alarm from going off if someone tries to break into the vehicle through that door.
