To disable the seat belt alarm in a 2017 Toyota Highlander, simply insert the key into the ignition without starting the engine. Turn the key to the on position and locate the trip/odo button on the instrument cluster, next to which there is a knob. Press and hold the knob for 10 to 15 seconds while keeping the key in the on position. You will hear a chime once to confirm the alarm has been deactivated.
