The Audi Q5's sleek and sporty design is reflected in its internal hood release mechanism. To access the safety latch that secures the hood to the frame, start by finding the rectangular lever located on the left-hand side of the footwell panel while sitting in the driver's seat. Pull up this lever to free the latch, which can also be reached by opening the driver's door and bending down. With the latch released, place one or two hands under the center of the hood and find the flat latch assembly to depress. Hold down the latch while lifting the hood to fully open it. Finally, secure the hood with the Audi's engine bay strut.

To pop the hood of the Audi Q5, find the lever on the left side below the steering wheel near the door. Pull that lever, then go outside and push the latch under the hood to unlock it and fully raise the hood.
