The Etune technology in the Toyota Camry may require calibration if the touch screen is unresponsive at the bottom or if users have to tap about an inch to the right of their intended selection. However, Toyota does not provide a calibration fix for this issue unless the vehicle is still under warranty. Some owners have had to replace the entire radio to resolve the problem, with Toyota covering the cost for some replacements while others have chosen to purchase non-Toyota audio equipment like Kenwood. Installing a new radio typically solves the touch calibration issues. Alternatively, some users have resorted to using a credit card to tap the screen's lower portion for access.

If the screen on your Toyota Camry's Entune system is not working properly, you can try resolving the issue by updating the software. Simply ensure that your car is running and the audio system is turned on. Then, press the apps button to access the dashboard. Insert a USB stick into the USB port. The screen will eventually prompt you to update the software. During the update process, the screen may briefly go black before completing the update.

Perform a soft reset by starting the engine and pressing the car's power button twice. Once the screen displays turns on, hold down the power/volume button for around 12 seconds. The screen will cycle on and off. This procedure resolved the calibration problem on my screen, requiring me to press slightly to the right of the actual button.

Tapping the edges of the screen with the credit card was a helpful technique to resolve the issue. Thank you for the assistance.

I tested the reset method on my 2016 Camry Hybrid but it didn't fix the issue. I contacted Toyota, and after providing my details, they informed me that I would be notified if a solution is found. Two separate dealers suggested replacing the unit for $1,200, but I decided against it as I don't want to take the chance of ending up with another faulty unit at my expense.

The Credit Card method was a success! I really appreciate your help. By carefully sliding a credit card near the bottom of the screen where it connects to the dashboard, I was able to select the necessary button to link my phone for Bluetooth. Thanks again!

In my 2015 Camry SE, the radio and Bluetooth controls on both the screen and steering wheel had suddenly stopped working. After discovering a helpful YouTube video on how to replace the screen digitizer, I purchased a replacement for about $14 on eBay. Following the video's instructions, I successfully took out the old digitizer and installed the new one in about two hours. Although the steering wheel controls are back in action, unfortunately, the touch screen remains unresponsive. Despite this minor setback, the fix is still effective as I can conveniently use the steering wheel controls for most functions, except for resetting the clock. Overall, it was a budget-friendly solution to the issue.

Who is able to repair my radio?

I have a 2014 Camry. My attempt at using a credit card and pen to reset the radio didn't work. I can't perform a hard reset since I can't press any buttons, and holding for 12 seconds also didn't help. I might have to resort to getting a radio adapter to send signals over FM instead. It's frustrating dealing with these electronic issues. Best of luck.
