When driving the Jeep Cherokee, its auto adjusting rear view mirror will automatically dim to reduce glare from other vehicles' headlights, providing improved driver visibility. This feature is coordinated with the Cherokee's folding side mirrors. To enable this function in your Jeep, simply press the central power button on the rear view mirror. The system will deactivate when reversing or when visibility is not hindered. If the auto dim feature detects glare from headlights within a 10-car distance, both the rear view mirror and power folding side mirrors will dim. To turn off the auto mode, press the central button once more.
