To engage the cruise control in the Chevy Malibu, you'll find the controls on the left side of the steering wheel. Look for the panel with five buttons and press the on/off button located on the far right, marked by a needle gauge symbol. A white cruise control light will appear on the instrument cluster indicating the system is ready. Accelerate to your desired speed and press the "set" button, which will activate a green light on the display. To increase speed, press the "Res+" symbol, and if necessary, use "Res+" to resume your set speed. To slow down, push the "Set-" button.
Press the power button to activate. Look for the cruise control symbol to illuminate in white on the dashboard. Once you reach your desired speed, press the set button to maintain that speed.
