To activate the cruise control on a 2018 Toyota RAV4, first, locate the on/off button found at the end of the cruise control switch beneath the lower right side of the steering wheel. Ensure your speed is above 25 mph to engage the cruise control. Once you've reached your desired speed, push the cruise control lever down and let go of the gas pedal. Adjust the speed by tapping the lever to increase or decrease speed by one mile per hour. If you continuously hold the lever up, the speed will keep rising until you release it; holding it down will decrease the speed until you let go. To deactivate the cruise control, press the brakes or pull the lever towards you. To resume the cruise control, push the lever away from you.
