Insert the key and turn the vehicle to the "on" position without starting the engine. This action will reset and turn off the SRS light by jumping the terminals. Another option is to remove the airbag fuse, but this can be risky if there are passengers. Locate the fuse box to the left of the steering wheel by looking for a small seam or crack on the dashboard. Use a screwdriver or prybar to open it. Inside, there are several fuses. Check the back of the panel for a diagram showing the purpose of each fuse. If the diagram is not there, consult the vehicle owner's manual. Identify the fuse you need and remove it.
