The 2019 Toyota Highlander does things a bit differently - it doesn't offer a specific ECO mode button for you to activate or deactivate. Instead, there is a light on the dashboard that illuminates when you're driving efficiently to maximize fuel economy. If you notice this light, it simply indicates that you're not pressing down too hard on the throttle. Unlike before, where ECO modes reduced engine power to save gas, the current model's engine control unit adjusts power based on driving conditions rather than your button inputs.

To deactivate the eco mode in a 2019 Toyota Highlander, simply push the eco button located in the middle console. The eco driving light will illuminate while driving within the eco driving range.

Switch on the "power mode" on the dashboard display by accessing settings and scrolling down. Enabling the power mode increases gasoline consumption for quicker acceleration by disabling the eco mode. In my view, the difference isn't significant unless you require the 4-wheel lock for towing, in which case you would experience more power.
