To turn off the lane assist feature in a Subaru, it's an easy task that only takes a couple of minutes. Start by locating the button with a right-moving car symbol and the word OFF, usually positioned to the left of the steering wheel in most cars. Press and hold this button for 2 seconds to disable the lane assist function. After the 2-second hold, the lane assist will be turned off. And that's all there is to it!
That's ridiculous! My 2023 Subaru Outback Onyx doesn't have a lane assistance on/off button anymore. They've removed it. I demand a refund!
To disable lane assist on a 2019 Subaru equipped with the eyesight system, locate the button featuring a car veering to the side, situated on the left side of your steering wheel, and press it.
The line assistance feature on my 2019 Subaru Crosstrek is currently disabled, but it turned back on by itself.
In 2019, my Crosstrek also lacks a button to deactivate, which is really frustrating.

On the Subaru RS 3.6 Legacy, you can find the button near your right knee. The button features two lines indicating the car veering right, and it's labeled "Off". To engage this function, you need to hold down the button for a few seconds until a beep sound is heard. Simply pressing the button won't work; you must hold it and wait for the beep to activate the feature.
The 2021 Outback also does not feature that button. Although it can be turned off swiftly, you need to press approximately 8 buttons, and it automatically activates again when you restart the ignition. The system in the car, Eyesight, offers two choices regarding lane systems.
