In order to check the transmission fluid levels of the 2014 Ford Fusion, it is a straightforward process. Start by opening the hood and locating the transmission dipstick. Remove the dipstick and observe the oil level indicated on the longer section. You can determine how much oil is in the transmission by noting where it marks the stick. Once you have checked the level, be sure to return the dipstick to its original position. In addition to the level, you can assess whether the fluid needs to be replaced based on its color. Transmission fluid changes typically cost around $150 on average. While they are not as frequent as engine oil changes, it is important to follow the recommended intervals for your vehicle.

Newer models, such as your 2014 vehicle, do not have a dipstick for checking transmission fluid levels due to the design of sealed transmissions.

This particular vehicle doesn't have a transmission dipstick as some sources might suggest. To check the fluid level on 2013 and newer Fusion models, you'll require a metric socket set, a ratchet, an extension, and a jack. First, let the car run until it reaches normal operating temperature, then park it on a flat surface. Lift the front driver's side tire off the ground with a jack and remove the tire. Carefully lower the car to the ground. Look to the left of where the CV axle enters the transmission to find the transmission level plug. Remove the plug and allow the transmission fluid to drain out; if it overflows, there was too much fluid. Let it drain until it stops, indicating the correct level. If no fluid comes out, remove the transmission cap under the hood and add fluid until it flows out of the transmission level plug hole. Once it stops, the fluid level is appropriate. Replace the plug, raise the car with the jack, and reattach the tire.

To inspect the transmission fluid in a 2014 Ford Fusion, begin by running the engine to warm it up. Next, pull out the transmission dipstick to verify that the fluid level is correct.

Hey there! These transmissions don't have a dipstick. Instead, you'll find a level fill boot located on the side of the case near the driver's side CV axle. You'll need a 14mm tool to check it, and make sure to do so only after the car has been warmed up, in PARK, and on a flat surface.

There is not a tool to check the oil level in the car!

Pop the hood and find the dipstick. Pull it out and check the oil level on the stick.
