If your Subaru Outback is a certain model year and trim level that comes with Bluetooth capability, syncing your phone or other device is simple. Begin by checking Subaru's website to make sure your device is compatible. Enter your phone's model information to ensure it works with the Bluetooth system. Hold down the "TALK" button on the steering wheel for three seconds to activate the screen. Use the radio knob to choose your language. Select "PAIR PHONE" and press the knob to confirm. Next, choose "RECORD NAME" and press to confirm, then record your phone's name. Press the "TALK" button to confirm. Your Outback will create a passkey; access your phone's Bluetooth settings, find the Subaru device, and enter the passkey. Once successfully paired, your Outback will confirm the connection.
