To take out the air filter box from a Chevrolet Silverado, first, unplug the wiring harness connected to the air pipe. Next, use a small socket or flathead screwdriver to loosen the clamp holding the tube in place and separate it. Undo the four screws at the corners of the air box to remove the top section. Then, take out the air filter. This will allow access to the bottom section, which you'll need to pull up with some force to disconnect it from the clips. If you're installing new parts, follow the reverse steps to put everything back together, and the component should be good as new since it should be brand new.

To uninstall the air box in your Chevy Silverado, you will find two screws next to the air box that need to be taken out. The lower section of the air box is held in place by rubber grommets. Simply give it a good tug, and it will lift right off.
