If you're driving a Chevrolet Malibu and want the display to show miles instead of kilometers, the process is quite simple. For the 7th generation Malibu, just press and hold the INFO and ARROW buttons on your steering wheel for two seconds, then release. The default display will show "language," so use the INFO button to find the "Units" setting. Use the arrow button to adjust the setting. For newer models with an electronic dash display, go to SETTINGS on the right side, then select the second option, which is UNITS. Make sure kilometers is not selected; choose either "US" or "English" depending on the model year to switch back to miles.
Is there a way to disable the Units function in a rental car's settings?
To convert kilometers to miles, go to the settings menu on your dashboard and locate the units section. Then, switch the measurement from metric to miles.
