To create more cargo space in the Toyota Corolla hatchback, you can fold down the rear seats from 17.3 cubic feet to 23.3 cubic feet. Keep in mind that this feature is available in all trims except for the S and base models which do not have rear folding seats. Make sure to remove any items on the back seats, including child safety boosters. You can find the release lever for each seat in the trunk of the Corolla. Look for black levers with a white "seat" symbol and pull them to fold down the seats individually. By doing this, you can free up enough space to transport long items in the trunk and cabin.
