If you're by a road, park away from traffic with your hazard lights on. Avoid soft ground and inclines. Activate the parking brake and shift the car to "Park." Gather your spare tire and jack. Position the jack under the frame near the flat tire. Raise the jack until it supports the car securely. Loosen the nuts and remove the wheel. Replace it with the spare tire or a regular one, and tighten the nuts.
