If your Honda Odyssey only produces a clicking noise or remains silent when you try to start it, the most likely cause is a dead battery. This can occur due to various reasons like leaving internal or external lights on or having an old battery that cannot hold a charge. In order to get the van running again, you will need to jump-start it. This process is straightforward and only requires a set of jumper cables and another vehicle with a functioning battery. Position the vehicles close enough for the cables to reach, connect the red positive cable to the positive terminal on the working battery, then attach the other red cable to the positive terminal on the dead battery. Next, connect the black negative cable to the negative terminal on the good and dead batteries. Start the vehicle with the good battery first, then start the one with the dead battery. Remove the cables in reverse order from how they were connected, and you should be ready to go.
