When you want to open the hood of a 2008 Ford F-350, the process is similar to most vehicles. Initially, you must pull the latch found inside the cab on the driver's side, close to the left foot area. Once the hood is unlatched, reach inside and locate a lever on the lower left side. Move this lever to the left, allowing the hood to pop open with a little upwards pressure. If this method fails, it may be due to a faulty release mechanism. In the case of the F-350, the release cable is prone to breaking, so moving the lever won't have any effect – you'll simply be moving a piece of plastic back and forth.
