To learn how to open the hood of a Ford Escape, start by opening the driver's side door. Then, check the left side footwell where you'll find a black lever. Pull the lever upward to release the hood latch. Once you hear it pop, go to the front of the car and locate a yellow latch on the passenger's side. Pull this latch to the right to open the hood.

I didn't have trouble with the car's interior release, but I struggled to find the latch under the hood. You can spot a bright yellow lever located under the front of the hood on the passenger side. It's really easy to release.
