To start, what you'll need to do is move the Ford logo from the front of the hood to the side, where it can swivel. This adjustment allows you to access the Ford Transit hood easily. Once you've made this change, insert the key and turn it to open the hood. Following that, turn the key all the way to the right to fully unlock the hood. Over time, the latch or cable may wear out and prevent the hood from opening. If this occurs, you might have to get under the vehicle or use a screwdriver through the grille to release the latch and open the hood. If the latch or cable is broken, it can be replaced at a cost of around $30 to $50 for parts.

To access the engine of a Ford Transit, simply push the Ford emblem to the side, insert the key, and turn it to unlock the hood. After that, continue turning the key to the right to fully raise the hood. If you prefer, you can also pull the interior latch on the driver's side footwell all the way to the left to open the hood.
